Mark Brown

Chairman of the Association

Mark Brown has been Chairman since early 2019 following on from his previous role as Deputy Chairman Political.

Before moving to Monmouthshire Mark lived in South Africa where he was a member of Conservatives Abroad, he ran his own business based in Cape Town and in Lusaka Zambia. Mark spent a season working as an intern with the Times of Israel newspaper based in Jerusalem and worked with a homeless young persons shelter in Cape Town and with conservation charities. Mark now actively helps run his families educational conservation charity in Zambia.

Mark has been a member of the Royal British Legion for many years, a cause close to his heart. He has run over 20 long distance running races including running the London Marathon for Legion. Locally he can often be spotted selling poppies in Abergavenny. 

Mark is also the coordinator for Wales for the national Conservative party group, LGBT+Conservatives.
